Under JVM i Salsomaggiore fick alla spelare och ledare nominera spelare till The Joan Gerard Youth Award, en utnämning till spelare som anses vara en förebild för juniorbridgen.
Man fick inte utnämna någon från sitt eget land.

Vid prisutdelningen fick Isis Lundqvist ta emot priset för Kids.

The Joan Gerard Youth Awards will aim at rewarding aptitude, fair play, good sportsmanship and a friendly international spirit, rejecting any discrimination. They will be presented every year at the Youth Bridge Teams Championships and at the World Youth Open Bridge Championships to a Junior, a Youngster a Girl and a Kid.
